The Ministry of Defense hosted a water contest (technology for purifying non-potable water into potable water), where evaluations of small water purification devices produced by various companies were conducted within the Ministry of Defense. As a result, out of many applications, the technologies of four companies were selected in the preliminary technical review, including our photocatalytic technology. Our company equipped the photocatalytic material "Titanistar(R)" and ultraviolet lamps, purifying the contaminated water created by the Ministry of Defense within the specified time. Subsequently, the water was collected by the Ministry of Defense for quality testing, and the results of the water quality inspection conducted by the Minister of Defense received a score close to full marks. As a result, when Mekacera balls were applied in the presence of residual chlorine at concentrations of 0.1ppm to 0.2ppm, the number of Legionella bacteria gradually decreased, and no viable bacteria were detected after 24 hours. At the request of the National Fisheries Research and Development Institute (NFRDI) of South Korea, the AquaBeam AB-S was loaned for purification tests of oyster aquaculture water at NFRDI.
